The 3-axis LCS 800 is designed for high-precision machining across a range of industrial applications and is used, amongst other things, for components for semiconductor equipment, metal masks and other parts made from metal, ceramics or composites – such as silicon carbide (SiC) and CFRP.

The machine is equipped with an intuitive and fully integrated control system with a touchscreen interface, providing easy access to all process parameters. The built-in offset calibration system includes automatic adjustment of the laser nozzle, automatic correction of the beam angle (both optional) and automatic power control of the laser, ensuring stable operation and maximum precision.

Material capacity

The LCS 800 can machine a very wide range of materials with high precision:

  • Diamond materials: polycrystalline CBN (PcBN), polycrystalline diamond (PCD), single-crystal diamond (SCD), CVD diamond, natural diamond and tungsten carbide (WC).

  • Metals and alloys: Stainless steel, aluminium, copper, nickel, titanium and various superalloys.

  • Ceramics and composites: silicon carbide (SiC), silicon nitride (SiN), ceramic matrix composites (CMC), CFRP, zirconia (ZrO₂), HTCC/LTCC, aluminium nitride (AlN) and aluminium oxide (Al₂O₃).

Processing options

The machine is designed for 2D cutting, drilling, sawing, slotting, grooving, pocket milling, engraving and profiling, making it a versatile tool for both advanced production and precision prototyping.

Precise and consistent machining
The cylindrical laser beam produces parallel cuts without a V-shape, with smooth surfaces and sharp edges. Thanks to the cooling effect of the water jet, the material is essentially unaffected by heat, ensuring a perfect surface finish.

Fast and accurate performance
The LCS 800 can cut 10 mm CBN at 26.5 mm/min, with a mechanical precision of ±8 μm and a cut width as narrow as 30 μm. The result is a combination of speed, accuracy and repeatability of the highest standard.

Simple and straightforward operation
The process produces clean surfaces free from coatings or burrs and requires little or no post-processing. Thanks to the system’s long working distance, neither laser focus nor distance control is required, which simplifies operation and increases productivity.
