The machine is fitted with linear X and Y motor axes on a cross table, where the workpiece is clamped onto an M6-threaded table for maximum stability. An optional B-axis can be fitted to the table to enable rotational positioning of the workpiece at various angles – ideal for more complex machining tasks.

The advanced CNC system includes a high-performance green laser, a compact high-pressure pump with an ultra-pure water unit, a touchscreen-based control system and a vision system with a motorised zoom for optimum precision and user-friendliness.

Material capacity

The LCS 150 can machine a wide range of materials with high precision:

Diamond materials: polycrystalline CBN (PcBN), polycrystalline diamond (PCD), monocrystalline diamond (MCD), CVD diamond, natural diamond (ND) and tungsten carbide (WC).
Metals and alloys: Stainless steel, Durnico, CuBe, copper, brass, aluminium, shape-memory alloys (Nitinol), titanium, nickel and various superalloys.
Ceramics: Zirconia (ZrO₂), LTCC (Low-Temperature Co-Fired Ceramic), aluminium nitride (AlN) and aluminium oxide (Al₂O₃).

Processing options

As a 3-axis machine, the system is suitable for 2D cutting, drilling, sawing, slot milling and engraving – whilst maintaining precision and a high surface finish even during demanding micro-machining.

Key benefits

Precise and consistent machining
The cylindrical laser beam creates parallel cuts without a V-shape, resulting in smooth surfaces and sharp edges (Ra down to 0.15 μm). Thanks to the water-cooled beam, thermal effects on the material are almost entirely eliminated.

Fast and accurate performance
The machine is capable of cutting 1.6 mm PCD and carbide at a rate of 5 mm/min – with no limit on material thickness. It achieves a mechanical precision of ±3 μm and a cut width as narrow as 30 μm, delivering extremely accurate results.

Simple and straightforward operation
This process produces clean, coating-free surfaces and requires little or no post-processing. Thanks to the long working distance, no focus adjustment is required either, making the process both smooth and reliable.
